Several goats perish in barn fire

Several goats perished in an Abbotsford barn fire on Wednesday night.

Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service was called to a property on Fraser Highway at about 11 p.m. When crews arrived, they found a barn fully engulfed in flames.

The barn was used to house goats that the family raises. Family members were able to rescue most of the goats, but several died.

Crews quickly attacked the flames and brought the fire under control.

The cause of the blaze is still under investigation.
