Incident on Mission Bridge
An incident on the Mission Bridge resulted in traffic being closed in both directions for a period on Thursday afternoon.
Police received reports at about 3:15 p.m. that a person had parked their vehicle on the bridge, and then jumped.
The bridge was closed to traffic coming from both Abbotsford and Mission when investigators arrived on the scene.
Traffic was opened to one lane in each direction at about 4:15 p.m., and was expected to remain that way for about an hour.
However, a collision on the Abbotsford side of the bridge, on Highway 11 south of Harris Road, caused further traffic backlogs.
Authorities were not releasing details on the incident.
