Mission picks company to build downtown revitalization plan
The municipality has chosen a company to develop a downtown revitalization plan.
HB Lanarc Consultants will build the document, in conjunction with a number of other design and engineering firms.
Team members have worked on projects such as Langley City and Medicine Hat downtowns, UFV's campus plan, and the Coquitlam Town Centre concept.
According to Mission Mayor Ted Adlem says, “This is an exciting time for Mission, and council is looking forward to the active involvement of our downtown merchants and owners as well as the rest of the community in shaping our downtown. This is our chance to implement an action plan for downtown – one that will result in real change.”
A concept is slated for release by early 2013, while a final economic viability and implementation plan will be completed by March 31.
