Fire damages Satchell Street home
An Abbotsford home was badly damaged by fire on Sunday morning.
Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service crews were called to the home at 7902 Satchell St. at about 7:30 a.m. When they arrived, flames and heavy smoke were coming from the second floor of the house.
All residents has escaped safely. Crews were able to extinguish the blaze, although the home suffered heavy fire and water damage, estimated at $100,000.
The cause is not believed to be suspicious but is still under investigation.
