Update: Black bear caught in Auguston area of Abbotsford released back into the wild
The black bear that was tranquilized by conservation officers in the Auguston area on Wednesday was certainly alert when she was released later that night.
A video released by CO Don Stahl shows the small bear shoot out of the back of the truck, and leap into the forest.
It was the second bear Stahl chased in Abbotsford that day. Catching her was made easier by the fact a dog had already treed the bruin. The first bear remains at large. See the full story here.
