Car crashes through iron gate on Maclure Road

A driver had to be extricated from her car by fire crews using the jaws of life after a single-vehicle crash near Gladwin and Maclure on Wednesday evening.

Just before 11 p.m., a car traveling eastbound on Maclure jumped the curb onto the sidewalk and slammed in a concrete fence, then continued through a locked iron gate. The female driver was trapped inside. She was transported to hospital with injuries that were not considered life threatening.

Abbotsford Police are investigating.
