UPDATED: Woman found floating in Fraser River in Mission identified
A Vancouver resident has been identified as the woman found floating in the Fraser River west of the Mission Bridge Monday afternoon.
The B.C. Coroner's Service said Carolyn Boaks, 58, was reported missing to the Vancouver Police Department April 21, and was last seen alive in Hope April 22.
An autopsy ruled out foul play.
Mission RCMP Sgt. Miriam Dickson said Monday that two Abbotsford males out on the water reported seeing a body in the river, and after meeting Mounties at the Mission boat launch, took the members out to the site of the discovery.
