Fire damages Abbotsford flophouse

A flophouse at the corner of Lonsdale Crescent and Ridgeway Street in Abbotsfod suffered fire damage early this morning.

The blaze, which occurred at about 2:30 a.m., started on the back deck and spread to the roof of the home.

Crews quickly extinguished the fire, and damage was contained to the deck and roof.

All five occupants got out safely. The cause is not yet known.
