15 candidates declare for Abbotsford board of education

The nomination period for the 2011 municipal election is now closed.

There are 15 people vying for seven seats on the Abbotsford board of education, six are incumbents: Uultsje DeJong, Korky Neufeld, Preet Rai, Cindy Schafer, John Sutherland and Shirley Wilson.

The nine newscomers vying for a spot are: Aeriol Alderking, Arlene Ambrose, Balbir Gill, Ralf Landsberger, Graham Evan MacDonnell, Freddy Latham, Rhonda Pauls, Stan Petersen and Matt Thiessen.

The municipal election will take place on Nov. 19.
