Motorcycle rider killed after colliding with truck

A collision between a motorcycle and a five-ton truck in the 34300 block of Vye Road claimed the life of the 49-year-old motorcycle rider on Saturday afternoon at approximately 1:15 p.m.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 27-year-old driver of the truck was shaken, but remained on scene and was cooperative with police as they began their investigation.
