Firefighters called out to warehouse blaze on Townline Road
A large fire broke out in an industrial complex located at 2337 Townline Road today at about noon on Tuesday.
The fire was reported by a neighbouring occupant after he noticed intense heat coming from the unit next to his. The Abbotsford Fire Rescue Service was called out, and had to deal with thick smoke and high flames before getting the blaze under control.
The unit was a full furniture storage warehouse, which made a quick extinguishment of the fire challenging. It took fire crews approximately two hours to have the blaze completely extinguished.
An early assessment of the estimated damage is approximately $250,000.
Approximately 40 firefighters and 12 apparatus from seven fire halls fought the fire. There have been no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation at this time, as Fire Investigators now have the task of digging through the debris.

The building, located in an industrial park, was being used for furniture storage at the time. There appeared to be extensive damage to the structure and contents.
Firefighters are still on scene.
