Car hit by deer in Abbotsford, driver suffers minor facial injuries
An Abbotsford driver suffered minor facial injuries at about 11:30 a.m. today (Wednesday) when his vehicle was hit by a deer.
The man was travelling north on the Sumas Way bypass between Old Yale and Old Clayburn roads when a deer bolted across the southbound lanes of traffic and ran into his driver's side door.
The driver's window was open and he was hit in the face by the sideview mirror, which was knocked off by the deer. The animal, which did not appear to be seriously injured, kept on running.
