No liquor for Game 6 in Abbotsford arena
When the Abbotsford Entertainment and Sports Centre (AESC) opens its doors on Monday, June 13 for locals to watch Game 6 of the Stanley Cup finals, liquor will not be served due to licensing issues.
The AESC was unaware of the restrictions when hosting Game 3, which is why liquor was available at that time. There will still be food and other beverages for sale during Game 6, which starts at 5 p.m.
Jason Blumenfeld, general manager of the AESC, hopes the event draws a large audience as the venue provides a “great family atmosphere.”
Game three saw over 1,500 Canucks fans fill the arena.
