Chain-reaction crash after roll-over

A vehicle roll-over on Maclure Road early Thursday morning was followed by a three-car chain-reaction crash.

The incident took place at about 1:30 a.m., when the driver of a 2003 red Ford sedan lost control of his vehicle, with the car flipping on to its roof in the eastbound lanes of Maclure Road near Trafalgar Street. Three other drivers observing the scene then got into a crash of their own.

When police arrived, the driver of the roll-over was not present, but police found empty and full beer containers in the vehicle, said Const. Ian MacDonald.
