Trial date set for Abbotsford Police officer
The trial date for an Abbotsford police officer charged with assault has been scheduled to start April 12, 2012 in Abbotsford provincial court.
Const. Adam Page was charged in March in connection to the arrest of a shoplifter in September 2009 at West Oaks Mall. It is alleged that Page pushed the 37-year-old suspect into a wall. The matter was brought forward in April 2010 from within the Abbotsford Police Department.
