Mission man found guilty of kidnapping
A Mission man has been found guilty of kidnapping and forcible confinement related to an incident in January 2010.
Simranjeet Deol, 26, appeared Tuesday in Chiliwack Supreme Court, where he was also found guilty of two counts of possession for the purpose of trafficking and two counts of careless use of a firearm.
Sentencing is scheduled for July 25. A 20-year-old Mission man was dragged from this property on Jan. 24, 2010 and taken to a rural area, where he was assaulted. The man suffered a broken nose and cuts to his face and arms. Three other suspects were wanted, but no one else has been charged.
