Weapons and pot found among three Abbotsford properties
Abbotsford Police busted three properties yesterday (Wednesday), resulting in the seizure of weapons and drugs.
Const. Ian MacDonald said a search warrant executed by the gang suppression unit in the 33200 block of Robertson Avenue turned up a loaded shotgun, a loaded rifle, ammunition and a small amount of marijuana.
A suspect was taken into custody.
In the 27600 block of Nathan Place, police in the drug enforcement unit discovered a grow-op with 2,400 plants in the basement of the home.
MacDonald said the operation was "sophisticated." Further information was not yet available.
The Municipal Integrated Emergency Response Team assisted in both busts.
The third search warrant was executed by the patrol division, which found a 700-plant grow-op in the 30800 block of Sandpiper Drive. MacDonald said no one was home at the time.
No names or possible gang affiliations have not yet been released.
