Abbotsford airport parking costs on the rise
Parking costs at the Abbotsford International Airport are being modified.
The current charge is $2 for each two hour block, up to six hours.
The new rate will be $2 for the first hour and $1 for each additional hour.
Studies show the average car is parked for less than an hour and many patrons were passing tickets on to other drivers.
By modifying the parking price, and length of time, the city hopes to avoid ticket passing and to increase revenues.
