Fatal crash in Abbotsford takes life of 19-year-old

A 19-year-old woman died at the scene of a single vehicle accident in Abbotsford on Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 4:30 p.m., a 1992 Nissan NX traveling westbound, in the 33500 block of Page Road, left the roadway. The resulting crash trapped the two female occupants. Abbotsford Police, Abbotsford Fire Rescue and BC Ambulance attended the scene, finding the passenger dead. The 18-year-old driver was air-lifted to hospital with very serious injuries. Abbotsford Police collision reconstructionists and patrol division officers are investigating the incident.
