Emergency crews called to drowning at Cultus Lake

Incident happened near Jade Bay Boat Launch; victim reportedly 40-year-old man

Emergency crews were called out to a drowning on Cultus Lake Saturday afternoon.

The incident happened around 3:45 p.m. on Sept. 7 near the Jade Bay Boat Launch area.

The victim was reportedly a 40-year-old man and he was still in the water when emergency crews arrived.

Cultus Lake Fire Department, RCMP and BC Ambulance Service were all on scene, and Chilliwack Search and Rescue attended as well.
