Proposed location of the new splash pad at Crossley Park in Abbotsford.

The City of Abbotsford has announced that Crossley Park will get a splash pad.

The new splash pad, located at 2630 McAdam Rd., is expected to be open to the public in the spring of 2025.

The City is also conducting a survey on the matter with demographic questions, what features should be added, and any additional comments on the project.

The survey can be completed from June 5 to 30 at letstalkabbotsford.ca

The splash pad will be an add-on to the current park amenities. The City will make an effort to keep the park open during construction, which is scheduled to begin in the winter.

All water used for the features of the splash pad will be sent through a infiltration system and back into the ground to recharge the water table.

There are three public spray parks and splash pads currently in Abbotsford. They are located at Mill Lake Park (2310 Emerson St.), Shadbolt Park (36086 Shadbolt Ave.), and Spud Murphy Park (32285 Hillcrest Ave.)
