Abbotsford Police managed a total of 284 police files between the evening of March 14 and the morning of March 17.

It was a steady weekend of action for the Abbotsford Police, with officers managing nearly 300 police files between Friday evening and Monday morning.

According to the Abbotsford Police, the 284 police files covered a wide range of incidents, including robberies, assaults, vehicle collisions, and much more.

"Throughout the weekend, officers conducted numerous checks on liquor establishments to ensure compliance with regulations and performed curfew checks on offenders out on bail to maintain public safety," said the Abbotsford Police.

Road safety remained a major concern for the police department, with officers issuing a total of 33 violation tickets throughout the weekend, including the apprehension of 10 individuals who were impaired while behind the wheel.

This comes only days after the Upper Fraser Regional Detachment of the RCMP warned Fraser Valley drivers and pedestrians to slow down and remain vigilant while on the road due to the region experiencing six fatal collisions between Feb. 9 and March 13.
