Agrifair, 109 years old and still growing

Demolition derbys, pirates, chainsaws and more draw thousands of attendees

The Abbotsford Agrifair is in the midst of 109th show this year and is as popular as ever.

Since 2016, attendence has grown by over 40 per cent and for the last two year it has been voted the city’s favorite commnity event in the The News’s polls.

Thousands of Agrifair attendees watch demolition derbys, logging competitions, pro wrestling, truck pulls, concerts, pirate shows. Agrifair has been nominated multiple times for Abbotsford’s chamber of commerce Business Excellence Award.

The fair is a non-profit charitable organization and largerly operated by volunteers who spend hundreds of their hours making this community event possible.

The fair’s hours are from 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. and goes to Aug. 4.
