A house on McCorkell Drive has been deemed unlivable after a fire on Thursday (Aug. 1) afternoon.
Abbotsford Fire Rescue Services responded to a call of a house fire 35320 McCorkell Dr. in east Abbotsford at around 12:30 p.m. on Thursday.
They arrived to find the house fully involved, with heavy smoke visible and flames showing from the second floor. All residents were safely out of the house.
According to the City of Abbotsford, the fire was fully extinguished and crews were able to protect neighbouring structures from fire extension. The house was fire damaged enough to consider it unlivable and Emergency Support Services was onsite to assist the residents of the home.
There were no injuries and the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
