Performing arts

Live theatre runs through the veins of all ages in Abbotsford. Theatre groups and local schools are often hosting shows at the Abbotsford Arts Centre or Matsqui Centennial Auditorium.

Fraser Valley Stage

Fraser Valley Stage is a non-profit organization of volunteer singers, actors, dancers, and more who share an interest in live theatre. They’ve even travelled to England and Ireland to perform. fraservalleystage.com

Gallery 7

Abbotsford’s only full-time theatre company, Gallery 7, has been putting on productions for 20 years. Its season runs from September to July and features main stage productions, guest performances, a workshop series and a summer drama camp program for children and teens called Summer Drama Blast. gallery7theatre.com

ACT
Abbotsford Children’s Theatre (ACT) is a non-profit theatre group for thespians aged eight to 18. It gives youth a place to develop and advance their

UFV

The University of the Fraser  Valley presents a full season of theatre, with three major productions, a Directors’ Theatre Festival of student directed plays, and many smaller events, such as play readings and poetry slams. ufv.ca/theatre.htm
