Event honours career, tech
Students in Abbotsford school district career and technical programs were recently honoured for their achievements.
The students included those in 12 career and technical programs, 18 regional and seven provincial skills competition medalists, and 45 secondary school apprenticeship scholarship recipients.
Three local employers were also recognized for their contributions to the school district and the community. Glenco Electric, Menno Home/Hospital and Fields department store have provided numerous work experience/apprenticeship opportunities for Abbotsford students.
Guest speaker was Kevan Evans, CEO of the Industry Training Authority.
