Twin sisters Andrea and Amaris will perform with the Gloria Dei Chorale on May 24 at the Bakerview Church on Clearbrook Road.

The 45-voice Gloria Dei Chorale, conducted by Abbotsford musician David Rushton, will present the concluding concert of the 2012-2013 season on Friday, May 24 at the Bakerview Church on Clearbrook Road.

The concert will also feature the Canada West Chamber orchestra and soloists, Andrea and Amaris, in Vivaldi’s Gloria as well as additional vocal duets with orchestra and joyful choral selections.

Andrea and Amaris, identical twin sisters, reside and teach music in the Fraser Valley and have performed at numerous events throughout B.C. including various venues during the 2010 Winter Olympics as well as singing the national anthem at games for both the Vancouver Canucks and the BC Lions.

The fact that Andrea and Amaris are "mirror-image" identical twins – meaning that one is left-handed and the other right-handed – enables them to blend their voices so perfectly that it is virtually impossible to distinguish one from the other. They enjoy exploring a diverse range of musical styles, and have succeeded in creating a one-of-a-kind sound through their incredible vocal flexibility, extensive ranges and beautiful harmonies. Their unique style combines a mix of pop, classical and gospel elements that appeals to audiences from many cultural backgrounds.

Andrea and Amaris recognize the power of music to inspire others, and hope that their music touches the lives of those who hear it. The twins have released a total of four CD's, including their latest recording “Live”, recorded during a concert series at the Matsqui Centennial Auditorium. Other recordings include their debut album "Mirror Image", the album "Refine" and a short collection of Christmas Carols.

The concert begins at 8 p.m.

Tickets are available at House of James, King's Music, the Bakerview Church or at the door, and cost $15.00 for adults, $10 for students and children 11 and under are free.

The concert will be repeated on Saturday, at the New Westminster Christian Reformed Church, located at 8255-13th Ave., Burnaby.
