People are invited to celebrate small-town living and outdoor adventures during an annual community event in Yarrow.

The theme of the 52nd annual Yarrow Days is ‘The Great Outdoors’ and it runs from May 31 to June 2.

The three-day event includes a farm market, parade, fun run, pancake breakfast, live music, vintage car show, vendors and more.

Things kick off on Friday, May 31 with the Yarrow Farm Market at Yarrow Pioneer Park from 5 p.m. to dusk.

Saturday, June 1 will start with a free pancake breakfast from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m. at Yarrow Canadian Reformed Church, across from Pioneer Park. They will be accepting non-perishable food donations for the Salvation Army.

Following the flap jacks, the annual parade will march through town. Organizers are calling it “the greatest small-town parade left standing.”

The parade leaves Yarrow Community School at 10 a.m. and will head south on Wilson Road, then west on Yarrow Central Road to Yarrow Mennonite Brethren Church. Road closures will be in effect from about 9:30 a.m. to approximately 11:15 a.m.
