Rise Against announced for Abbotsford Centre

The band Rise Against with guests Pierce the Evil and White Lung comes to Abbotsford Centre on Thursday, Sept. 14.

Tickets go on sale starting Saturday, May 13 at 10 a.m.

Rise Against hails from Chicago and formed in 1999.

Their first two studio albums were The Unravelling (2001) and Revolutions per Minute (2003) under independent record label Fat Wreck Chords.

In 2003, the band signed with major label Geffen, and released Siren Song of the Counter Culture (2004), The Sufferer and the Witness (2006) and Appeal to Reason (2008).

The latter two albums hit number 10 and number three, respectively, on the Billboard 200 chart.

Endgame was released in 2011, and all four albums under Geffen went platinum in Canada, while three of them were certified gold in the U.S.

Rise Against’s last album, The Black Market and Wolves, was released in 2014, reaching number one on Billboard’s Top Rock Albums.

Their eighth album, Wolves, is scheduled for release on June 9.

The Abbotsford concert starts at 7:30 p.m. Ticket prices range from $51.75 to $67.25 (plus fees and service charges).
