Prospera Credit Union holds its annual Cinema Under the Stars event in Abbotsford on Saturday, Aug. 6.
The film The Jungle Book will be shown on a three-storey-high big screen outdoors at Rotary Stadium (corner of Trethewey and Maclure) after the sun goes down.
Activities that include face painting and a bouncy castle will also be on site.
Admission is free, but donations will be collected for Success by 6, a partnership of the United Way, Credit Unions of B.C., the Ministry of Children and Family Development, and aboriginal and community leaders.
The program encourages citizens to build and fund programs that include cultural programs and resources, literacy, nutrition, child care and more for kids under six years old and their families.
