Play in Abbotsford raises funds for Warm Zone

A fundraising performance of the play The Vagina Monologues takes place Tuesday, Feb. 14 in Abbotsford.

The production, presented by Think Outside My Box, takes place at 7:30 p.m. at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium, 32315 South Fraser Way. Proceeds go to the Warm Zone, a drop-in facility for street-engaged woman that is operated by the Women’s Resource Society of the Fraser Valley.

Each year, women around the globe participate in V-Day on Feb. 14 to raise funds for local organizations working to end violence again women and girls.

The Vagina Monologues is an episodic play written by Eve Ensler. It is made up of several monologues read by a number of women on topics such as love, sex, rape and birth.

Tickets are $16 and are available at the door.
