The award-winning Christian band MercyMe plays Abbotsford Centre on Thursday, May 11 at 7 p.m.
The group is the recipient of numerous Gospel Music Association Dove Awards and many Grammy Award nominations.
MercyMe, named “Christian artists of the decade” by Billboard Magazine, has sold more than six million records, scored 22 number-one singles on the biggest gospel charts, and performed for over five million people.
The band formed in 1994 and released six independent albums prior to signing with INO Records in 2011.
Their first crossover single, I Can Only Imagine, elevated their debut album, Almost There, to double-platinum certification.
Since then, they have released six more studio albums (four of which have been certified gold) and a greatest hits album, 10.
