The Abbotsford Arts Council is currently accepting applications for its 2018 gallery exhibitions.

The arts council features 10 to 12 shows each year at the Kariton Art Gallery.

Artists are encouraged to submit concepts for a solo exhibition or a group exhibition with colleagues, school or as an organization. Submission deadline is Sept. 15.

Applications are also currently being accepted for the Artist in Residence Program.

This is a self-directed program offering opportunities for artists to work in the secondary space of the Kariton Art Gallery.

The residency accommodates artists working in any discipline for the production of new or ongoing bodies of work.

In exchange, artists facilitate an outreach or education program for the local community, set weekly hours to interact with the public through their art, and may participate in an exhibit if deemed appropriate.
