Pianist Ang Li to perform in Abbotsford
The Valley Concert Society presents pianist Ang Li in concert on Friday, Feb. 8.
Li will perform a program with two themes. One is the romantic repertoire of Schubert, Brahms and Chopin.
The second half will feature 20th-century composers, several of whom have a local connection.
This includes Souvenirs d'Europe by Burnaby native and UBC grad Jared Miller. Li gave the world premiere performance of this work in Carnegie Hall.
She will also perform music by Vancouver-born Alexina Louie.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. at Matsqui Centennial Auditorium (32315 South Fraser Way). For tickets, call 604-859-5192.
