Abbotsford lingerie football game will be televised
Lingerie football is coming to your television sets.
Officials at the Lingerie Football League (LFL) have come to an agreement with B.C.’s CHEK TV to broadcast all eight of the Canadian league games as well as the LFL Canada championship game being promoted as the Lingerie Bowl I.
All broadcasts will be in high definition and take place Saturday nights at 8:30 p.m.
The inaugural season of LFL Canada is set to kick off on Saturday, Aug. 25 in Abbotsford with the BC Angels hosting the Regina Rage.
“Considering LFL Football’s track record in relation to television ratings, rapidly building momentum and interest from our viewers, we feel LFL Saturday Night Football will find a whole new audience on CHEK,” said Bill Pollock, program manager for CHEK TV.
While CHEK will carry all LFL Canada games, the network’s focus will be centered on its home team, the BC Angels.
The LFL is expected to announce another Canadian broadcaster to include coverage across the remaining territories in Canada.
“It’s exciting to build yet another league from ground level to hopefully the success we are enjoying in the U.S.,” said Mitchell Mortaza, founder and chairman of the LFL.
“Securing a television licence without having even kicked off truly speaks to the excitement that surrounds our game and the upcoming inaugural season of LFL Canada.”
