Twilight concert series has it all, even the Kitchen Sync
The Envision Twilight Concert Series presents Kitchen Sync and Voce Destino on Friday, June 29 from 7 to 8 pm. at Mission’s Fraser Valley Heritage Park.
Both groups, under the direction of founder Liisa Nessim, are joining musical talents to put together a variety show of music with lots of harmonies.
They are all there for the love of music and the joy of singing.
Kitchen Sync is – you guessed it – a kitchen sink of styles. They released an album called the Kitchen Sync Project, then, after a few years and personnel changes, released their second album, Live Off the Floor.
Joining Nessim in the group are Leonard Jantzen, Les Hatklin, Jan Giffen, Beth Nessim and special guests Bob Rebagliati, Joe Samorodin, and Laurel Nessim.
Voce Destino (Destined to Sing) is an eight-voice women’s choir with an enthusiasm for singing. The group was formed in 2009 as an offshoot of the Joy Vox Community Choir.
Voce Destino is always expanding their repertoire from classical, jazz, pop, spirituals and more.
The Art in the Park program continues with a variety of visual artists presenting their work each evening of Twilight.
