The potential designs for new Abbotsford street banners run the gamut, from whimsical and childishly joyous to stylish and modern.
Now the public will decide which local artists will have their designs adorn Abbotsford light standards in 2019.
Dozens of people submitted designs for the Community Banner Project, a collaboration between the city and The Reach Gallery Museum. From those submitted, 26 were deemed to meet the criteria for banner reproduction. (Those that were not were recognized with honourable mentions.) The top 10 vote-getters will be produced and displayed on city centre light posts next year.
