Volunteers prepare tax returns for free

The service is available in Abbotsford to low-income individuals

Low-income individuals with simple tax situations will be able to get tax returns done for free by volunteers starting Feb. 27 in Abbotsford.

The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program is a collaboration between the Canada Revenue Agency and the Clearbrook Golden Age Society.

The program serves seniors with an income of up to $30,000 and couples with an income of up to $40,000.

Clinics are conducted at Garden Park Tower (2825 Clearbrook Rd.) Friday, Feb. 27 to Thursday, April 30 from 9 a.m. to noon and 1 to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
