UFV to host series of summer camps

Registration is now being taken for the camps, which start the second week of July.

University of the Fraser Valley (UFV) is hosting a series of summer camps starting the second week of July, and registration is encouraged as soon as possible.

They include UFV Think Fun – hands-on, activity-based camps in which children play games, explore and participate in fun projects that encourage them to think and problem-solve together. Each week-long camp has a selection of three different themes from which to choose.

A series of Science Rocks! camps are held throughout July in Abbotsford and from Aug. 5 to 15 in Chilliwack.

Also offered is a fashion camp from July 7 to 11 in Abbotsford. Participants ages 14 to 18 create one-of-a-kind projects that reflect their individual style while developing their fashion portfolio.

Rounding out the selection of summer camps are multi-sports camps from July 7-11 and 14-18 at Envision Athletic Centre, a soccer camp from Aug. 11 to 14 at Bateman Park, and a Cascades junior men’s basketball camp from Aug. 18 to 29 at Envision Athletic Centre.
