Staff and students at Chinook Helicopters in Abbotsford recently took on the Stuff Your Machine challenge to collect hundreds of items for the local food bank.
The challenge was issued by Valhalla Helicopters in Kelowna and called on all aviation companies to help out food banks in their communities.
Chinook Helicopters – a helicopter training school at the Abbotsford Airport – invited their staff, students and other airport partners to get involved.
Also stepping up to the challenge were Marshall Aerospace, Campbell Helicopters, WestJet Airlines, Cascade Aerospace and the Abbotsford Airshow.
The collected food items were then packed into one of Chinook’s Bell 206 Jet Rangers C-GHHF for photos before being loaded into vehicles and delivered to the Abbotsford Food Bank on Sept. 29.
