Slice of life: Garden club meeting and more

Abbotsford Garden Club meets tonight (Tuesday) in the multi-purpose room of Abbotsford Middle School, 33231 Bevan Ave., starting at 7 p.m. Learn about invasive plants with Jeanne Hughes of the Fraser Valley Invasive Plant Council.

FOOD TALK

Agriculture, Food and Our Community is the title of a forum at Mission Library (33247 Second Ave.) on Wednesday, Jan. 26 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. The event is presented by the Mission Food Access Network. Info: 604-826-6610.

MEET and GREET

The Mt. Lehman Community Association holds its annual meet-and-greet from 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27 at Mt. Lehman Hall (corner of Mt. Lehman and Taylor roads).

IN LIVING ROOM

Living Room – a support group for people who suffer with mood disorders such as depression, anxiety and bipolar disorder – meets the second and fourth Friday of each month at Highland Community Church, 3130 McMillan Rd., from noon to 2 p.m. The next meeting is on Jan. 28. COMPUTER CLASS

Seniors’ computer classes begin Wednesday, Feb. 2 at the Abbotsford Seniors’ Association, 2631 Cyril St. Registration takes place the same day from 11 a.m. to noon. Beginner classes start at noon. Intermediate sessions begin at 2 p.m. Classes are held every Wednesday and Friday for three weeks. The cost is $60.
