Organizers of Abbotsford’s Canada Day celebration have renewed a deal with Prospera Credit Union to be the naming sponsor of the event.
“Prospera has always shown a high level of dedication and commitment to the community and Canada Day and we are truly grateful to them,” said Mayor Bruce Banman.
He said the city is also welcoming a new sponsor, the NHL’s Calgary Flames.
The Flames, the parent club of the Abbotsford Heat, are sponsoring the Canada Day fireworks and entertainment.
The theme for Canada Day 2012 – Sunday, July 1 – is Circus Circus. Many events are planned throughout the day including a parade on South Fraser Way, free family fun at Exhibition Park, entertainment and more. Further details on the events for the day will be available soon at www.abbotsford.ca/canadaday.
