Prom-themed event to raise money for youth music lessons

Devon Clifford Music Foundation is hosting the “Prom Unplugged” fundraiser, on March 8, at 6 p.m. at Matsqui Community Hall

An annual prom-themed event will help raise money to provide music lessons for local youth who may not be able to afford them.

The Devon Clifford Music Foundation is hosting the “Prom Unplugged” fundraiser, on March 8, at 6 p.m. at Matsqui Community Hall.

Guests of the prom will enjoy a fun, casual and carnivalesque evening, including a lip sync competition, games, comfort food, raffles, craft beer sampling, and a short documentary about the work the foundation is doing with Abbotsford’s young musicians.

The money raised will go towards providing music lessons, band camps, and other opportunities to young people who might otherwise not experience the fun, mentorship, and community that music affords them.

Tickets are $40 and available at House of Fine Arts (2485 W Railway St #101, Abbotsford), online at ow.ly/srGqz, or by email at info@devoncliffordmusicfoundation.ca
