The Parish of St. Matthew in Abbotsford, located at the corner of Marshall and Guilford roads, recently donated just over $1,000 to the Abbotsford Community Services Food Bank.
The funds were raised during a special lecture from Bishop Michael Ingham, bishop of the Diocese of New Westminster. He spoke on the topic "Finding the Post Modern Balance: Evangelical, Catholic, Liberal."
Admittance to the lecture, which drew more than 150 people, was a donation to the food bank. The parish also provides a weekly food donation to the agency.
