New Beginnings celebrates 25 years

Reunion celebration on May 29

The New Beginnings program in Abbotsford hosts a 25th anniversary reunion on Friday, May 29.

The event takes place from 3 to 5 p.m. at 32355 Mouat Drive with speeches from dignitaries and the unveiling of a new logo.

Family activities and a dinner are held from 5 to 8 p.m., and all former staff and students are invited.

New Beginnings is run by Abbotsford Community Services and the Abbotsford school district.

The program, located on the same property as W. J. Mouat secondary, provides classroom education and support to young moms and dads, while their young children receive childcare.

Approximately 500 young men and women have graduated with their high school diploma since the program began in 1990.
