Abbotsford MP Ed Fast will speak about his recovery from the stroke he had in December 2016 during a presentation next week.
Fast will be the guest speaker on Monday, Jan. 22 from 2:45 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at a meeting of the Stroke Recovery group. The session takes place at Abbotsford Recreation Centre (2499 McMillan Rd.) and is open to everyone.
The group meets every Monday and Thursday from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m. and is open to anyone in the Abbotsford area – including those in Mission and Aldergrove – who have suffered a stroke.
Free programs include fitness, communication activities, cognitive activities and social/emotional support for both survivors and caregivers.
The group currently has about 50 active members from the ages of 30 to 90.
