Abbotsford Mayor Bruce Banman was playing with fire last month.
Banman attended the Annual Mardi Gras Gala fundraiser for The Centre for Epilepsy & Seizure Education in B.C. on March 22.
The event was held at the Rancho Hall.
As part of the fundraiser, Banman auctioned himself off to eat fire with “Fire Fawn” one of the entertainers at the event.
He raised $75 to do the deed.
"I guess I was running out of hot air," joked Banman about eating the fire.
