The City of Abbotsford has signed up to compete in the 2017 Communities in Bloom competition.
Two judges will visit the city later this month and assess its heritage conservation, urban forestry, landscaping, turf, floral displays, tidiness, environmental action and community involvement.
A committee has worked to enhance and sustain Abbotsford’s beauty in an effort to win the competition.
It costs an estimated $1,500 to compete at the provincial level.
