A local group has restarted its carpet bowling get-togethers twice a week in Abbotsford.
Carpet bowling runs every Monday and Wednesday from 1 to 3 p.m. at Garden Park Tower, 2825 Clearbrook Rd.
The cost is $1.25. Organizers say physical-distancing measures will be in place to ensure everyone’s safety.
Carpet bowling is similar to lawn bowling. Players throw their bowling balls to a smaller target ball called a “jack.” Each team of four to eight players has four bowling balls, and there are two teams per carpet.
The object of the game is for each team to get their bowling balls nearest to the jack to gain points.
