Bowl for Kids’ Sake raises more than $69,000

The annual event raises funds for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley.

The annual Bowl for Kids’ Sake this year raised more than $69,000 for Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Fraser Valley.

The funds will support mentoring programs for youth in communities from Maple Ridge to Hope.

The title sponsor was Prospera Credit Union, which entered teams from branches in Abbotsford, Mission, Chilliwack, Agassiz and Sardis in the annual event.

Bowl for Kids’ Sake took place at Galaxy Bowladrome in Abbotsford, Chillibowl Lanes in Chilliwack, REVS in Maple Ridge and Sunshine Lanes in Hope.

It costs approximately $2,000 per year to screen, supervise and support each of the Big/Little matches, according to the organization.
